Pick your airport by region: GOI (Dabolim) for Palolem, Agonda, Colva, and Margao. GOX (Mopa) for Anjuna, Vagator, Morjim, and Calangute. Wrong airport = ₹700-1,200 cab bill.

Day 1: North Goa Beach-Hopping

Calangute Beach, Goa (morning): Enjoy a refreshing swim or relax on the sandy shores. You can reach here easily by taking a cab from your hotel. Don’t forget to try some local beach snacks from nearby shacks!
Anjuna Beach (afternoon): Take an auto-rickshaw or taxi from Calangute Beach, Goa in about 20-30 minutes, usually ₹250-500 by auto or ₹400-700 by taxi. Walk the rocky shoreline, sit above the Arabian Sea, and browse the relaxed beachside stalls rather than rushing through them. The shore feels more rugged than Calangute, with warm sand, salty air, and later-afternoon shadows on the rocks. Keep valuables close and avoid isolated stretches after dark.
Chapora Fort (evening): Next, visit Chapora Fort, famous for its panoramic views of the coastline. The fort is a short trek from the parking area. Enjoy exploring the ruins and take in the breathtaking scenery. It’s a perfect spot for some memorable photographs!

Dudhsagar Falls (morning): Kick off your day with a trip to Dudhsagar Falls, one of India's tallest waterfalls. Enjoy a jeep safari through the lush forests to reach the falls. The journey is as thrilling as the destination! Make sure to take your camera for stunning photos.
Basilica of Bom Jesus (afternoon): From Dudhsagar Falls, a pre-arranged taxi is the practical option; allow roughly 2-2.5 hours and around ₹1,500-2,500 per vehicle, shared by two travelers. Spend time inside the cool, dim basilica and notice the contrast between the restrained exterior and detailed interior decoration. Dress respectfully, keep voices low, and avoid scheduling this immediately after a wet trek without spare clothes. Late afternoon is calmer than midday.
Se Cathedral (late afternoon): Next, visit the Se Cathedral, located nearby. This magnificent church is one of the largest in Asia. Take your time to admire its intricate design and peaceful surroundings. It’s a perfect spot for family photos!
Evening: Return early after Se Cathedral; the Dudhsagar Falls day is tiring even when the road transfers run smoothly.

Walk the curved shoreline, sit beneath the palms, and leave time for a swim only where conditions are clearly calm. The beach has a gentler, quieter rhythm than Calangute. Morning light is softer, while the sand stays comfortable before the strongest heat arrives.
Butterfly Beach (afternoon): Use a local boat from Palolem Beach when sea conditions permit, generally 20-30 minutes each way and about ₹800-1,500 per boat, shared between travelers. Otherwise, ask locally about the current land approach because access varies with season. Spend the visit on the small shore, listening to the water against the rocks and watching the changing light. Carry drinking water, sandals, and a bag for every wrapper you bring.
Fontainhas (evening): Continue by taxi to Fontainhas, about 10-15 minutes and ₹150-250. Walk slowly through the narrow lanes, looking for painted façades, small balconies and bright window shutters rather than treating the neighbourhood like a checklist. The best detail is the contrast between peeling colour and freshly painted blue or yellow walls. Keep voices low because this remains a residential area, and pause for photographs only where you are not blocking doorways or scooters.
