(15)Al-Azhar Mosque
A beautiful mosque and one of the oldest universities in the World. Don’t miss it. Wear your clothing modestly otherwise they will give you clothing to wear before entering the mosque and these clothes are worn by everyone so better to take your own clothing.
The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization
The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC) in Cairo, Egypt, is an extraordinary destination that beautifully showcases the depth and grandeur of Egypt’s history. From the moment you enter, you are captivated by the museum’s modern design and the seamless way it combines innovation with ancient heritage. The exhibits are thoughtfully arranged, taking you on a remarkable journey through Egypt’s civilization—from prehistoric times to the modern era. One of the highlights is the Royal Mumm
Great Sphinx of Giza
Mosque-Madrasa of Sultan Hassan
Saladin Citadel
Stunning place. It is quite out of the way but an Uber will take you there no bother. If you are able to walk, don’t ask to be dropped at the main entrance, instead, get dropped at the “exit” road which meets with Salah Salem Street. The main entrance will cost you 30LE which you will need in cash to give the Uber driver so he can get shouted at by the armed guards while handing it over… very strange experience that one. Tickets can be bought online or there are plenty of ticket booths at the e
Abdeen Palace Museum
We visited so many stately homes and palaces and I will confidently say this tops them all. What a beautiful palace that has architectural brilliance and fantastic collections of artefacts from all the world and civilisations. Alas, king Farouk’s residential parts of the palace were not opened to the public. However, we saw a cinema inside the palace. Really worth visiting this world wonder when in Cairo.
Bab al-Futuh
This is one of the historical places in all of Cairo. Full of life after you leave the Masjid. Great places to listen to music. Shop, eat. True Bazaar atmosphere!!!
The Egyptian Museum in Cairo
Tutankhamun’s treasures – including his famous golden funerary mask, jewelry, and the contents of his tomb. • Royal mummies – the preserved bodies of great pharaohs like Ramses II and Hatshepsut (in the Royal Mummy Room). • Statues and monuments – massive statues of kings, queens, and gods from temples and tombs. • Papyrus and ancient writings – original texts that show daily life, religion, and myths of Ancient Egypt. • Jewelry, tools, and everyday objects – items used by nobles and common peop
Al-Azhar Park
Breathtaking views of the city, lovely walk, nice play area for kids. There are 2 restaurants and smaller eating places- though we didn’t try the food, there were good options. Only downside- we saw many stray dogs in the garden, controlling them would be good.

Talaat Harb Square
A slice of Paris, in the heart of Cairo.❤️🇪🇬 I was surprised with its old architecture buildings, wide streets and classic elegance. There's a timeless feel to it, like you stepped into a different era, and it's giving an old Paris vibes! I'm really glad the hostel I rented was nearby! I enjoyed walking around! Definitely one of my favorite spots in the city!

People of Egypt Walkway
Visited the area in mid October this year late in the evening , nice weather, comfortable walk , plenty of restaurants available. Option of boat tour also available . Used Uber both ways , parking would be a nightmare there .Upper walk is free , lower walk has an entery fee of E£20 per person.Overall pleasant experience .

Khan el-Khalili
Had so much fun here! Negotiating with these folks is hilarious. Its a humble and fun environment! Super safe and everyone is welcoming. Its insane to find out that the majority of them speak multiple languages.

Cairo Tower
Cairo Tower is a really beautiful place to visit. The ticket price was 350 EGP, and there was an option to pay an extra 500 EGP to go directly to the 360 Restaurant without waiting. The 500 EGP is included as credit for food at the restaurant. The food was good, and the restaurant slowly rotates 360 degrees, so you get to see all of Cairo from every angle while sitting. It was a very enjoyable experience and I definitely recommend it. However, for people who get nauseous from heights, it’s bette

Amazing experience with the family.. Haven't been there since childhood! The place needs more restaurants with reasonable prices and small rides with shade for rent to allow parents pushing their little ones

(15)Kempinski Nile Hotel Garden City Cairo
The location of this hotel is perfect, right on the Nile. The balcony view is spectacular. Unlike other high-end hotels in Cairo, this one lacks the feeling of being in a "secure compound", while still being extremely secure. Perhaps because it is surrounded by Embassies, it feel as secure or more secure than the "fenced" hotels. Security even kept track of every Uber or other vehicle we left or arrived in. Fascinating neighborhood, if a bit isolated. Only a 15 minute walk to Tahrir Square
Hawawshi Al-Rabi'
The food here is amazing! Do. Not. Miss. Great vibes too, everything is outside and every single person we met was super friendly. We came with a food tour, but could have totally gotten by just with English without a problem. Hawawshi was delicious, we had both the mincemeat and the sausage. The grape leaves were wonderful, even to my sister who tries them everywhere she goes. I know it's not the star of the meal, but they have darn good tahini! Best drink is the lemon mint juice. 10/10!
LUUMA
We had late breakfast at Luuma. We had a table next to the Nile. What a great ambiance and friendly staff. We had Luuma’s Benedict - It was excellent. Mohammed and his manager served us well. We had a side dish of falafel. They were well made too. We had fresh strawberry juice, tea, coffee, tiramisu (enjoying the great atmosphere). We stayed over two hours and ordered more tea and coffee. Highly recommended.
Sobhy Kaber
First night in Cairo and we are here for authentic local food. Ordered the pigeon (grit was super delicious and moist), kotfa and lamb shank - portion are huge and meat cooked beautifully.
Koshary Abou Tarek
A nice experience from the restaurant itself to the excellent service and somewhat the food. Everything was great and food was good. I felt there is more pasta that lentils therefore if you like lentils dont shy off asking for more. Highly recommend local restaurant
il Nilo
The service here is amazing! The staff is so nice and the food comes out very quick although it was a very busy time. Mohamed Wael was amazing he is so nice and friendly. We came on a Friday and it did take a bit to get seated but that is expected for a weekend. I would recommend calling in for a reservations on the weekend. The atmosphere and the decor is amazing. We got the truffle pasta 1000/10 it was sooooooo yummy my favorite thing here. Definetly can’t wait to come back!
Semsema
✅Amazingly tasty food they make! 💯 We ate beef shawarma/doner they were famous for and hawawshi, and they were very very good, the best ones we ate in Cairo till now. The worker/chef/boss was very kind and speaks English well. ✅👍
Neama
My stay at the hotel was truly exceptional, and what impressed me the most was the outstanding level of service. The staff were extremely polite and professional, always smiling and eager to fulfill any request promptly and warmly. From the moment I arrived until the day I left, I felt genuine care for the comfort of the guests. This experience made me feel at home, and I look forward to coming back soon.
InterContinental Cairo Semiramis by IHG
Another Wonderful Stay at the InterContinental Cairo Semiramis From the moment I arrived, my stay at the InterContinental Semiramis Cairo was exceptional as always. Through my brother Richie, who has been a loyal guest of the hotel since 2023, I first discovered this property, and it continues to impress me every visit. I’ve now had the pleasure of returning on my own, and each time, the team makes me feel right at home. The staff truly make the Semiramis special. Their professionalism, warmth

Beggah
A unique experience to live, and better just sit at the tables in the streets to live the moment. The food is kind of traditional and tasty, I recommend you to test it.

Fairmont Nile City Hotel
We had a great stay at the Fairmont. Good location with a great view of the Nile. Staff were very friendly, professional and provided great service. Food options were great and there was a large choice of restaurants in house with opening hours well beyond midnight. The Gold lounge was very discrete with great service. Special shout out to our house keeping staff who were extremely great in their up keep of the room. Water and other snacks and drinks were complimentary. Our suite was gorgeous an

Karam El Sham
📍 Karam El Sham – Cairo 🇪🇬🍽️ 🔥 Awesome place for authentic local food at affordable prices — a true eat like a local experience 🧍♂️🧍♀️. The place was packed with people, which to me is always a sign of a local favorite and a must-visit ✅. 🥙 Tried the chicken shawarma and crispy chicken meal — both were delicious and came in huge portions, easily enough for 3-4 people 👌🍗. 🧾 The service was excellent — they provided an English menu, patiently explained the ordering process, and guided us thr

حضرموت شيخ المندي - فرع المهندسين
Absolutely one of the best restaurant experiences I have had! Welcomed and greeted, escorted to a table. Employees are dressed in suits and uniforms, with pleasant and cordial attitudes. The food was delicious! We couldn't stop eating, even though we were full. The akawi tajin (ox tail), mixed grill, molokheyya, and mixed stuffed leaves and vegetables (mahshy) were all superb. The molokheyya was unbelievable! Hands down the best I have ever had. The place is very clean and organized, with no wai

Everything was absolutely amazing. From the appetizers to the main courses and even the desserts, every single dish was full of flavor and prepared with great care. The place itself is stunning, with a beautiful view and a wonderful atmosphere. The staff were extremely helpful and kind throughout our visit. Honestly, I can say this restaurant left a special mark on me. As someone who is Turkish and comes from a country known for some of the best cuisine in the world, I was truly impressed. This
Le Pacha 1901
Piccolo mondo , you get in and find some italian decorations and names of people carved on the walls all around you , you get seated by helpful staff (but you need to have a reservation) , the menu has a wide selection of drinks and Italian cuisine dishes. I ordered seafood pasta and salmon fettuccine and both were very tasty , the best thing about this place is the view by the nile which makes the whole experience blends in together nicely. If you want a break from the city lights this place is

SKY RIM
Visiting here with my wife and 2 loud children in late February was the best experience in Cairo. The best view you can imagine, the best we got to taste in our 7 days here and the best service included. I did call them to book before hand. Mawlana Lounge and Cafe - كافية مولانا التحرير
A nice local roof top with view onto Tahrir. I went there in day time, first didn't know it was in a side street above the hotel. But after a few minutes and asking I found it. There are two elevators 'Cafe' (left) & 'Hotel' (right). The menu can be seen only via QR code and it is in Arabic, so get your google translator out. The food was as expected normal, nothing high class or fancy but very cheap! I paid for a burger, a sandwich and a fresh mango juice around 300egp. As I came in the day tim

Xo Club Nightclub Cairo
The best Nile view ever. I was sitting outdoors. It was quite . Place is very clean , cheesecake was amazing.

Taratsa
Very nice local night club, the food is very tasty and the ambience is super fun. Thanks for Mina the bartender he was amazing. I would highly recommend this place for local and international music. They also have a drummer and a belly dancer.

Africana Club

Parisiana Night Club

Café Riche
Old school place with maintained classic charm. Unpretentious but classy. Super friendly and accommodating staff. The musaka is excellent and is now probably my favorite dish in Egypt although I certainly lack experience with Egyptian cuisine. They maintained good service despite a huge group of 20 showing up without a reservation while I was there. Definitely would recommend serving the lemon artichoke with salt and olive oil though. It drastically enhanced it. Honestly would put it on it b

Cairo Jazz Club
So we didn't have a reservation, we went there and we entered normally, we paid 300EGP per person (drink included) and everything was great. There was live music with 3 different bands, we could dance and feel free , alcohol was also served there. It was one of the best nights at Cairo

Al Refaei Butcher and Hawawshi
While in Cairo tried another Egyptian item called Hawawshi. and it did not disappoint. it is a crispy bread with many different options you can get into of it. we went with the minced meat and peppers, and it was amazing, the spiced and flavorful meat with the peppers (and those peppers were hot) inside of the crispy bread was just perfect. highly recommend it.
